Located at the Naval Station San Diego, CRF San Diego has been operating for more than thirty years. The CRF is responsible for overhaul, repair, maintenance, and modification of a wide variety of cryptographic equipment. The facility acts as the West Coast COMSEC turn-in point for CMIO/DCMS cache accounts and as a repair point for crypto repairables under the Cryptographic Equipment Repair Program (CERP). The CRF assists Navy, Marine Corps., U.S. Coast Guard, FMS, NAVICP and GSA users, performing depot level and mandatory COMSEC equipment modifications. The facility interfaces with the Navy, Army and Air Force in matters relating with Automatic Test Equipment, including maintenance engineering, modification, software development, and configuration control. It also provides direct Fleet support and emergent technical assistance for repair of COMSEC equipment to operating forces to meet operational commitments. The facility handles worldwide shipping/receiving under direction of the ADNS ISEA NES Coordinator/FSD Manager.
